6-week puppy programme for dogs younger than 4 months of age:Paws2Train collaborates with Oday Vets, whom has a fantastic facility in Rooihuiskraal and a 6-week programme on Saturdays.
Basic obedience training for dogs older than 4 months of age: I work out a customised programme for your dog based on what you would like to achieve. Examples are to teach your dog to stay on cue, to walk properly on lead, to down on cue, not to jump on you etc.
I use only positive reinforcement techniques together with clicker training. I teach you to use these techniques.
Training sessions are done at your home and/or in other areas where your dog needs to cope, like for example walking in your street.
Dog behaviour modification consultations: I can help you if your canine of any age has a behaviour problem. Examples are if your dog developed a fear for something, barks excessively, chews destructively, resource guards excessively etc. I use only positive based methods.
Dog walking and/or play services: If you need someone to provide more stimulation during the week to your dog as what you can provide. I come and walk your dog(s) and play with your dog(s), minimum time spent is 40 minutes.

🐾FAQ - TELL ME ABOUT KOVEN AND SMART PET BEHAVIOUR?
As I am passionate about the physical and emotional welfare of animals, I have chosen to follow this passion by working closely with guardians and their canine and feline family members. I specialise in behaviour consulting and work in a one-on-one setting as opposed to a group or class environment. This ensures that every Client, their family and their pet/s recieves my undivided attention. I commit to working closely with Clients and their pet/s by walking the journey with them for as long as it takes to see results. In complex cases, I will consult with other experienced Behaviourists locally and internationally to ensure that all options are considered.
I also believe in giving back so volunteering at A New Hope Dog Rescue in Johannesburg South, Pretoria Dog Rescue and participating in feeding one of the local feral cat colonies, affords me this opportunity.
I am a Mom of 6 rescue dogs who rule my heart and my home. They serve as my teachers and motivation for waking up every morning with gratitude and purpose ❤
🐾FAQ - WHAT ARE THE PRINCIPLES AND VALUES OF SMART PET BEHAVIOUR?
I don't use words like discipline, behaviour correction, commands, fear, force or balanced training. These words are just other tags for punishment and fear. Therefore my methods don't entertain any of these concepts! This means no choke, prong or shock collars, no rolled up newspapers, spray bottles, scolding, beatings or punishment of any sort.
In addition to ethics and empathy, I believe in the 4 C's - cues, communication, consent and collaboration when working with animals during training or behaviour modification.
I believe in the education and empowerment of pet guardians by providing information and individualised coaching so that they can grow and nuture their relationship with their furry family members.
🐾FAQ - WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & MEMBERSHIPS?
