If you are experiencing problems with the behaviour of your cats or dogs, either at home or when out of the house, I am available to help you understand the foundations of the problems, as well as advise you on how best to change things around. All Behaviour Consultations for cat problems are routinely done in your home, and this home visit service is also available for dog owners. The Centre Of Applied Pet Ethology's state-of-the-art EMRA model (assessing emotionality, mood-state and the factors reinforcing the behaviour) is the core approach used in all the Cape Animal Behaviour Centre's work. We also offer Puppy Socialisation and Clicker Home Training Classes from Junior level onwards using the levels system - optimising your choice and letting you progress at your own rate. One-on-one training and remedial options are also available. I am also able to offer selection advice for prospective owners and a gentle ear for those struggling with the loss of a beloved pet. Puppy socialisation and habituation classes are held for puppies under 16 weeks of age with no more than 8 puppies in one class with two qualified instructors.
Clicker classes are held for clients and their dogs from foundation level upwards.
We also offer one on one training for clients who are unable to join a class and home training.

All methods used for behaviour modification and training are free of coersion, choke chains or forcefull techniques. Group training classes are limited to five dogs per class to ensure every client and their dog get the attention they need. Training is done by using the clicker method.
