I am a Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and Centre of Applied Pet Ethology (COAPE)and hold a diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training. I have worked with companion animals for over 25 years in the capacity of veterinary nurse, guide dog trainer and welfare advisor for two of the UK's leading charities. In 1994 I established my own behaviour practice and now hold regular behaviour referral clinics from more than eight veterinary practices throughout the north of England. I specialise in cases of aggression, neurological problems affecting behaviour and multi pet households.
I am also frequently called upon as an expert witness in court cases throughout the region. In January 2008 I expanded my business opening the North of England's largest cage free licenced Canine's Creche, as well as continuing to run successful puppy socialisation and pet dog training classes within Cleveland. |

I've been involved in pet dog training and helping clients with problem behaviour for over 20 years and since 1999 this has been my full time occupation in the form of Best Friends Pet Dog Training and Behaviour Services As well as the COAPE diploma I have a Certificate for Teachers and Trainers of Adults and am a founder member of and assessor for the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). I run small, group training classes in Bradford and Ilkley and also visit clients at home for 1-1 training and behaviour consultations.
Clicker training is my method of choice for all training and my classes include life skills for all ages, fun agility, 'trick' training and the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme. |
